Wrest Park
The deadline for this event has passed, so no further bookings are possible.
Wrest Park is a spectacular mansion, in the style of a French Chateau, designed and built by Thomas, Earl de Grey in 1834-39. An exhibition reveals the history of the de Grey family and we are able to enjoy the opulently decorated state rooms including the Library, the Drawing Room and Dining Room as it appeared in the 1860s. Wrest is surrounded by wonderful gardens containing waterside and woodland walks, statuary and garden buildings, created by leading garden designers of the time. Wrest Park is now owned by English Heritage.
