Visit to Newmarket: Home of The Sport of Kings

Our Autumn visit on Wednesday 30 October 2024 was to Newmarket to visit the Jockey Club and the National Horse Racing Museum.

We met at the Jockey Club for coffee and biscuits, followed by a guided tour of the beautiful building and its artwork, lead by Christopher Tregoning.

After a buffet lunch in the café at the National Horse Racing Museum, Christopher then gave us a guided tour of the museum – more amazing artworks, and fascinating exhibitions on such topics as the history of horseracing and the anatomy of the horse.
